Welcome back Rivier Families!  It was so wonderful to see our students back today!  

Please take a look at the September calendar.  This indicates our Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten days and any upcoming activities, including days off and early dismissal days.

Each student will be sent home with a paper copy of the monthly calendar for your records.

This year at Rivier Elementary School we are excited to participate in the 41^st Anniversary of the Terry Fox Run on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28^th. 

Each teacher will be picking a time for their classroom to participate in the Terry Fox Run by walking or running (no bikes this year).

Mrs. Olson has initiated a Math Challenge for K-6 students at Rivier!  

In each monthly newsletter there will be a new Math Challenge for the month for students to solve and hand in.  Prizes will be handed out to participating students :)

Each student was sent home this week with the Math Challenge for September.  We welcome to you to solve the challenge at home and return it back to the school office.

Mrs. Booth welcomes any interested Grade 4, 5, or 6 students to participate in the Cross Country Running Club!

We will be practicing the following dates from 3:20 – 4:00 PM.

Tuesday, September 14 & Thursday, September 16

Tuesday, September 21 & Thursday, September 23

Monday, September 27 & Wednesday, September 29 (Possible Meet Day)

Tuesday, October 5 & Thursday, October 7 (Possible Meet Day)

More information will follow regarding the possible meet days.

Any interested students must have the following form signed and handed in to the school.  A form has went home with Grade 4-6 students today.

Students in Grade 3/4 and Grade 5/6 will be participating in a school based mini soccer tournament on Friday, September 24.  

We have organized a Subway sale for these 2 grades for lunch!  Students have been sent home with an order form.  $6 for a 6" sub and juicebox.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE BACK BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17.  Orders must be paid by cash or cheque.
