September 2025 Calendar

Important notes have been sent home with your child! 

Please ensure the Student Data Verification Sheet is reviewed and any corrections are made on the form in regards to emails, phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc...  A Discipline Plan has also been sent home with every student.  We encourage you to review this with your child and both sign it.

Please send both forms back to school as soon as possible.

Mrs. Booth  & Mrs. Terra Turgeon welcome any interested Grade 4, 5, or 6 students to participate in the Cross Country Running Club!  Notes are going home today, make sure to sign up and send your note back.  

We will be practicing the following dates from 3:20 – 4:15 PM.  

Please have appropriate clothing for running, running shoes and a water bottle for practices.

Practices:  Tuesday, September 9 & Thursday, September 11 

Practice:  Tuesday, September 16  

 Thursday, September 18 (Wilkie Cross Country Meet)

Tuesday, September 23 (Spiritwood Meet)

Practice:  Thursday, September 25 

Thursday, October 2 (Little Loon Districts)

If you can transport children for the September 18 Wilkie Meet or September 23 Spiritwood Meet,  please let Mrs. Terra Turgeon know via EDSBY. Remember you need a current Criminal Record Check (within a year) and a package policy/driver's license on file at the school office.

More information regarding meets will be sent out closer to the date.

Just a reminder that the first EARLY DISMISSAL is Wednesday, September 24! 

Light of Christ School Division requires a criminal record check completed in the last 12 months on file at the school office if a parent/family member volunteers at Rivier.  This includes driving to extra-curricular events, such as sports.  

Please print this form to take to the RCMP Detachment (Thursdays only in Spiritwood). to have a criminal record check completed for volunteer purposes.  

In addition to this--you must have a copy of your drivers license and a vehicle package policy on file with the school office.

We have a lot of activities happening at Rivier in the upcoming week!

• Tuesday, September 23-Bake Sale with proceeds to the lodge.  Thanks to RA, Piper, Norie, Cole and Hallie for volunteering to bake!  Prices will be $0.50-$1.00 each item
• Good luck to our Grade 4-6 Cross Country runners!  Spiritwood Meet on September 23 and Districts in Little Loon on October 2!
• Wednesday, September 24 is EARLY DISMISSAL at 2:15 PM.  2:00 PM for PK.
• Thursday, September 25 please support ORANGE SHIRT DAY!  (PK can rep on Wednesday, Sept. 24)
• Terry Fox Run is on Thursday, September 25!  2:15--families are welcome to join us in support of this fantastic cause.  Students are welcome to walk, run or bike (with a helmet).  Don't forget your donations:  Terry Fox Rivier Donations
  • If we hit our $1500 GOAL----Mr. Poirier will KISS A CHICKEN!
• Friday, September 26 the Grade 5/6 class will be making pancakes for lunch for all students and staff.  If your child does not eat pancakes/syrup--please pack a lunch.
• NO SCHOOL DATES:
  • Monday, September 29 for Teacher PD
  • Tuesday, September 30 for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
